Today was the opening day of the Oktoberfest 2008. Ironically, I missed the opening ceremony on account of getting drunk the previous night and waking up late. Went there around noon, and it was a lot of fun.

Made a day trip to Salzburg in Austria. To the casual tourist, Salzburg equates to two things - Mozart, and movie The Sound of Music. Salzburg is a very pretty town, with a very well preserved castle.

In Munich today. Trento to Munich is a very beautiful train journey - through the Dolomites, and the Austrian ranges to their north. A second coming to Munich, so I will try to go to areas unexplored the previous time.

I graduated from the University of Trento today! I presented my thesis, and was then awarded with the MSc.
